and decorative arts world. Usually we would have to travel, sometimes
cross country to get this kind of varied expertise instruction. We are
proud of our convenient location in the Raleigh / Durham NC. area, just minutes
from the airport in historic downtown Cary. Transportation to and from
selected hotels each day is available. The selection of hotels sit in a

Jeff Raum received his BFA in commercial
design and began his career as a scenic artist for animated TV commercials in
New York city eventually being promoted to art director. Later he became a
Broadway makeup designer, working with such stars a Bernadette Peters.
Jeff now lives in Moorpark, CA with his
wife and two sons. In his company, Murcales, he creates beauty for
residential and commercial clients including Gucci, I. Magnum and the Las Vegas
Hilton.
He appears regularly
on "The Christopher Lowell Show" on The Discovery Channel. His work has
appeared in Better Homes and Gardens and Traditional Home magazines. Also,
his creations have been seen regularly at the Pasadena Showcase House of Design.

This
class will be a 3 day architectural Trompe l'oeil class teaching us how to
perspectively integrate elaborate column stencils into a hand painted mural,
drapery (hand-painting and shading techniques to complete a study of swaged and
draped damask fabric), and foreground, mid-ground and background with a floor
tile design. Background is a Tuscan vineyard landscape including winding
trail, lake and distant village.
If you live in the North Carolina area, we save you real money on this class. By
bringing it to our area you save on motel, rental car and airline charges.
Airfare alone cost approx. $350.00 from Raleigh to CA add to
that a car for approx. $30.00 a day. Motel will be approx. $80.00 a day.
All of this will add up to approx. $800.00 not including food or class tuition.
